Enfield Council Apprenticeship Awards: Armanie Smith (centre) and Sue Perkins on the far right
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London's apprentices and staff attended Enfield Council's 'Celebration of Apprenticeship Success' on Monday (14 March 2016), timed to take place during National Apprenticeships Week (14 - 18 March). The evening recognised the achievements of each apprentice, and also presented awards in a range of categories. CONEL's first winner of the night was Adam Navsa in the College's Business Administration category. The event saw the top award of the night, the Apprentice of the Year Award, going to Adam's felllow CONEL apprentice, Armanie Smith (pictured).
Armanie started her Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship at Enfield Council in November 2012. After taking a career break to start a family, Armanie returned to Enfield Council in March 2015, progressing onto the Business Adminstration Apprenticeship Level 3, which she completed in March 2016.
Currently working in the Human Resources, Learning and Development team Armanie has just secured a permanent job with a neighbouring Council. Her Assessor, Sue Perkins (pictured far right) said: "Armanie was always a pleasure to work with on her qualification and assessments, taking each situation in her stride and demonstrating a flexible ‘can do’ attitude."
CONEL's Enfield Centre has been working with Enfield Council to provide Business Administration apprentices since 2011. More than 35 apprentices have successfully completed their apprenticeships in this time.
